Jennifer West is a teacher, parent and Goldman School of Public Policy student serving on the City Council.
Jennifer lives at Doyle St. Cohousing with her husband and 2 daughters.
Jennifer has worked as a teacher in Bay Area public schools since 1995. She earned her Bachelors degree in East Asian Studies at Wesleyan University and her certificate in education at McGill University. She has taught at both the elementary and middle school levels and has supervised student teachers.
Jennifer West began her training as a facilitator in 2000. Since then she has put her skills to work leading organizational meetings, staff budget decisions, bus tours, board retreats, and staff development workshops.
Jennifer’s political experience includes processing donations as a staff member for Barbara Boxer’s Senate campaign and volunteering in a number of state and local campaigns.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys gardening and cooking, singing, biking, swimming, hiking, reading and doing puzzles.
